"This is a story of an adventurer. You may know him as Theador The Adventerous. Heard about him, yes? People called him "The Adventerous" because Theador was quite brave most of his life, but also "The Inventive" because he was quite smart. Adventures awaited Theador who had left his hometown of Polod. Polod was of course a town of Burning Empire - one of the great kingdoms of that age. Ever since Theador was a kid, he was always facinated with knights and heroes. He aspired to be like them, so one day he began to train his body and applied as a squire to the local knights guild. The monotonouse everyday life of a squire was killing him. He was trying to come up with a reason to leave. Theador found out that some evil thing lived in the darkness of the Phantom Dungeon.
